Having been the recipient/victim of dozens and dozens of these that are sent to authors praising their book and inviting them to SOMETHING, I have become sensitive to it and really appreciate your talking about how we can avoid being unintentionally spammy.
This is meant for a mass audience as well, so the expectation is different. If I send a newsletter via email, no one expects it was written for them personally - nor am I trying to "fool" them that it is. I see blog posts and articles the same way.

It is from my transcript that came from a class that I taught and then used AI to help me frame it - but it is 100% my perspective.
